My Closets

well, i have three closets. the one in the hallway is for whatever is not now.
if this is spring, then winter is in the hallway closet... stuff not being used, that’s what’s in there.
not now stuff... but, it has things that would be good, but you are not going to use and you know
it ahead. yes, a pink chiffon top, you know you won’t be going for that this June, so you just leave it there, because it’s too good to give away and maybe next year?

i have my winter stuff still hanging in my now closets, why? maybe it will still be a snow storm in June,better just until later. not now.

then i just have anytime stuff, like orange silk blouses, but we don’t wear it in June, but i could.
what if it was a cold forty-five degree rainy day, with a little hail? i could wear an orange silk shirt,
but most probably a sweat shirt and ugg boots for hail? why not? oh well.

what about those black “whenever” sweaters, that are too really light,
for real autumn? where do those go? they just stay right here right? somebody might come by
and need a sweater and this could be a find time to give them, like a charity. what about the old
flannel shirts... i wore them once... red or blue, too big checks or plaid numbers that were right
for one day, but not now, but you never know? they could be.

what about the quilted jackets that cost so much... they were good then, but well, not so right now.
maybe i will feel like that again. better save them in case i do.

how many jackets with sleeves that have shoulder pads are necessary
when no one is wearing them any more? they will come back soon...
won’t they?

what is most in there? boots, outdoor jackets, wool vests, silk blouses, more boots, sneakers,
swear shirts, and black pants... yes.
are my closets like me?... what does it mean after all?
i keep giving stuff away but it keeps coming back. how does this happen?
